On Location at Grand Union Village

The BBC’s popular ‘Waking the Dead’ police drama, which follows a fictional ‘cold case team’ investigating unsolved crimes, has just hit our screens, with the next episode taking place in our very own Northolt.

Filming of the current series took place last year at Bryant Homes’ Grand Union Village development, and the scenes will air in next week’s episode (28th January 2007) entitled ‘The Mask Of Sanity’. The scenes were filmed around the canal basin and in Taylor Woodrow’s marketing suite, with several of the company’s employees being used as extras.

David Thacker, Director of Waking the Dead said: "As soon as we visited Grand Union Village we knew it would be a superb location for this episode. The surroundings make a perfect backdrop to the film. We are hugely grateful to the Taylor Woodrow team for allowing us to film in the village. They made us feel very welcome and contributed enormously to our work on this episode."

Grand Union Village is one of West London’s largest regeneration schemes and sits within a stunning waterside location next to the Grand Union Canal in Northolt.
